How has being an AAAS graduate from Duke helped shape your professional success?

"My AAAS courses (particularly my Urban Education class with Charles Payne) really shaped my professional future. I developed scholarly interests that I still am pursuing today in doctoral work."

What advice would you give students in AAAS?

"As an interdisciplinary program, it can feel like you aren't getting a grounding in any one discipline. This has benefits and drawbacks. I had been exposed to many different ways of thinking about the world."
