Afro-Feminist Performance Routes is a focused residency that continues urgent embodied dialogues around African diaspora dance practices and gender, femininity, womanhood, femme, and feminisms.Organized in convergence with the fourth biennial Collegium for African Diaspora Dance Conference (CADD), "Fluid Black: Dance Back," this third iteration of Afro-Fem will feature a series of workshops, discussions, performance, practice, pedagogy, and philosophy, for our increasingly precarious times. Hosted by SLIPPAGE@Duke and supported by Duke's Global Enhancement Fund, the African and African American Studies Department, and Duke Dance.
